Newark, Del. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference contests on the final day of the Wildcat Regional Tournament hosted by Wilmington University on Saturday at the WU Athletics Complex. Holy Family fell to Adelphi University, 3-1, and to Millersville University by the score of 3-0.Â

Adelphi 3, Holy Family 1 (19-25, 20-25, 25-20, 20-25)

Against Adelphi, the Tigers fell behind early on as the Panthers took the first two sets by the scores of 25-19 and 25-20. Holy Family managed to cut into Adelphi's lead with a 25-20 victory in set number three, but the Panthers bounced back to clinch the match with a 25-20 triumph in the fourth set.

Sophomores
Emma Herring (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) and
Charlotte Sabatano (Fredrick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) led the Tigers attack with double-figures in kills. Herring came through with 10 kills and 10 digs, while Sabatano led the team with 11 kills.Â

Senior
Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) finished with 35 set assists, while junior
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) led the match with 18 digs. Redshirt freshman
Erin Miller (Chandler, Ariz. /Corona del sol) led the Tigers with six total blocks, including five block assists.

For Adelphi, junior Kaitlyn DeStefano led the team with 11 kills, while senior Colleen Raga and junior Haley Blunt each added 10 apiece. Blunt also finished with a team-high 16 digs along with freshman Sierra Crook. Senior Katie Bryson led the team with 34 set assists.

Millersville 3, Holy Family 0 (17-25, 13-25, 22-25)
Â
Millersville picked up its second victory over Holy Family this season with a 3-0 sweep. The Marauders won by the scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-22.Â

Sabatano once again led the Tigers with nine kills to go along with eight digs. Herring and senior
Sarah Ambach (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) chipped in six kills apiece, while senior
Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) tallied 25 set assists.Â

Junior
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) led the team with 19 digs as she has totaled double-figures in digs in all 11 matches this season.Â

For Millersville, sophomore Kayla Wallace led the team with nine kills, while junior Katie Lesinski added eight kills and 16 digs. Sophomore Brooklyn Smith finished with a match-high 26 digs.

Holy Family (4-7) is back in action on Wednesday, September 25 as the Tigers travel to face Georgian Court University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
