Philadelphia, Pa. - Sophomore
Emma Herring (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) tallied a match-high 17 kills, but it wasn't enough as the Holy Family University women's volleyball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest to visiting Caldwell College by the score of 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center Gymnasium.

Holy Family is now 10-12 overall and 6-6 in the CACC, while Caldwell improves to 13-9 overall and 10-2 in conference action.  The loss marked the Tigers first setback at home this season. Holy Family is currently 6-1 at home this season and 4-11 away from the Campus Center. Â

Caldwell took the first set of the match by the score of 25-18, however the Tigers bounced back and tied the match at 1-1 with a 25-22 victory in set two.

Caldwell responded with a 25-19 victory in set three and then came up on top of a back-and-forth fourth set. The Cougars took the set by the score of 27-25 to clinch the match.

Herring led the match with 17 kills and finished with a .255 attack percentage. She also tallied two service aces and finished with seven digs. Sophomore
Rachel Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) was the only other Tigers' player to tally double-digits in kills as she finished the match with ten. Senior
Sarah Ambach (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) contributed nine kills and had an attack percentage of .318.Â

Junior
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) finished with a match-high 24 digs on the defensive end, while sophomore
Charlotte Sabatano (Fredrick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) came away with ten defensive digs. Sabatano also had six kills. Senior
Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) finished with a match-high 43 set assists as well as three service aces.

For Caldwell, freshman Taylor Zaeske led a trio of players that tallied double-digit kills. Zaeske finished with a team-high 15 kills, while senior Kasey Bausch contributed 12 kills and junior Athena Nestoras added ten kills.

Freshman Rachel Carpenter paced the Cougars offense with 40 set assists to go along with 14 digs.  Junior Jaclyn Del Cid led the team with 22 defensive digs.  As a team, Caldwell finished the match with a .244 attack percentage.

Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 23 as the Tigers travel to face Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC contest. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
