Volleyball Wins Sixth Straight; Defeats Concordia 3-1

Bronxville, N.Y. - Junior Jillian Keeve (LaGrange, Ill./Lyons Twp.) led the Holy Family University women's volleyball team with a team-high 14 kills and 12 digs in the 3-1 victory over Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match Saturday afternoon.

The win marks Holy Family's sixth straight victory and improves its record to 15-9 overall and 13-3 in the CACC. Concorida is now 4-14 overall and 4-11 in the CACC.

The Clippers jumped out to the early match lead as they took the first set by the score of 25-21. However, the Tigers bounced back and won three straight sets to secure the 3-1-match victory.

Holy Family won set two by the score of 25-13 and pulled out the victory in a close set three by the score of 27-25. The Tigers clinched the match winning set four by the score of 25-14.

Senior Aimee Drabyn (Avon, Ind./Avon) recorded a match-high 35 assists to go along with six digs, while junior Alyssa Keihl (Pewaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) tallied ten kills and four digs for Holy Family. Sophomore Cara Przybylowicz (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) had seven kills to go along with nine digs.

For Concordia, senior Amanda Byrd had a match-high 23 digs, while sophomore Julliann Gillespiehad tallied a team-high 11 kills. Freshman Hillary Hoffman recorded a team-high 19 assists and picked up five kills and seven digs.

Holy Family will face Millersville University on Tuesday, Oct. 26 in a road non-conference match. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
