Bloomfield, N.J. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team picked up it's third straight victory with a 3-1 win over Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Saturday afternoon.
Holy Family improves to 12-9 overall and 11-3 in the CACC, while Bloomfield is now 8-9 overall and 7-6 in the conference.
The Tigers jumped out to a quick lead in the match winning the first set by the score of 25-16. However, the Deacons tied the match after taking control of the second set, 25-19.
With the match tied 1-1, Holy Family came through winning the next two sets for the 3-1 match victory. The Tigers won set number three by the score of 25-21 and won set four, 25-11.
Junior
Jillian Keeve (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Twp.) led the way for Holy Family with a match-high 16 kills to go along with seven digs. Senior Aimee Drabyn (Avon, Ind./Avon) finished with a match-best 37 assists, while collecting eight digs and two kills. Also for the Tigers, junior Jordan Beland (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) recorded 17 digs and five assists in the victory.
For Bloomfield, sophomore Gabriella Betoni had a team-high 27 assists, while senior Brittany Devries collected 17 digs.
Holy Family is back in action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at home against Wilmington University in a CACC contest.
