Junior Steicy Castro went 2-0 in singles play this past week to open the 2012 women's tennis season. Castro was victorious in straight sets against Philadelphia University's Elizabeth Verbits, 6-1, 6-4. Against Molloy, Castro came from behind to defeat Gabrielle DiCroce, 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 at fourth singles.
