Holy Family University Athletics

The Holy Family women's 4x400 relay team finished second overall during the annual New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Saturday at the Armory.  The quartet of senior Latifah Porter and sophomores Zafirah Green, Delainey Price and Dominique Thomas finished in a time of 3:53.58 in their race that consisted of relay teams from the Philadelphia area.  In the process, Holy Family provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship for the first time in program history.

The Tigers finished just ahead of Shippensburg University (3:53.89) and nearly edged Division I Villanova University who won the race in a time of 3:50.34.  The University of Pennsylvania finished fourth (3:56.76) and was followed by Kutztown University (4:02.86) and Seton Hill (4:09.89).
