Junior goalkeeper Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) was selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 12.  Ongaro was in net for both the team's games this past week.  The Tigers recorded a 1-0 victory versus Molloy College on Tuesday and capped the week with a 0-0 draw at Nyack College on Saturday.  Holy Family is currently 5-4-4 overall and 2-3-3 in conference play.
 
Against Molloy, Ongaro made three saves in net as the Tigers' defense limited the Lions to only eight total shots the entire game.  He followed that up with a seven save performance to preserve the 0-0 tie against the Warriors. 
 
With two shutouts this past week, Ongaro now has six on the season as he has lowered his goals against average to 1.18.  He also has a save percentage of .803 after making 61 saves thus far this season.
