Holy Family University Athletics

Senior Rachael Alligood helped lead the Holy Family softball team to one of its best starts in the last few years as the Tigers finished their ten-game Florida trip with a 7-3 record.  Alligood appeared in five games, including two starts as she compiled 17.1 innings of work in the pitching circle.  She went 3-0 as she allowed 15 hits and only six runs; five earned.  In addition, Alligood struck out eight batters and issued only three walks.  Against the College of Saint Rose, Alligood went the distance as she recorded a complete game victory as the Tigers defeated the Golden Knights, 17-1  She struck out a pair of batters and scattered four hits while allowing one unearned run.  For her performance down in Florida, Alligood was named the CACC Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 9.
