Senior Alberto Munoz nearly averaged a double-double this past week in a pair of victories to open up the new season. The Tigers defeated Assumption College, 48-45, on Saturday night in the season opener and capped the weekend with a 74-64 win over the College of Saint Rose. Against Assumption, Munoz recorded his first double-double of the season with 11 points and ten rebounds. He followed it up with 19 points and six boards on Sunday versus the Golden Knights. Munoz shot 7-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. For the week, Munoz averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 11-of-21 from the field. He also knocked down 8-of-14 from three-point range.
