At the annual Outdoor Track & Field Towson Invitational hosted by Towson University on Saturday, junior Thomas Mandese finished fifth in the shot put and sixth in the discus events. He posted a distance of 40' 9" (12.42m) in the shot put and came through with a career-best distance of 101' 2" (30.83m) in the discus.
