Volleyball Completes Third 2-0 Day of Season, Highlighted by Win Over 2024 NCAA Tournament Participant Daemen

NEWARK, Del. – For the third time this season the HFU Volleyball Team won two matches on the same day, which began with a 3-1 triumph (25-10, 21-25, 25-17, 30-28) over 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Daemen at Wilmington's Wildcat Regional on Friday. 
 
The Tigers would then go on to defeat Roberts Wesleyan in four sets (22-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-11). 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) led both matches in assists, totaling 85 over the eight sets, while adding a match-best three aces and tying Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) with a team-high 14 digs in the victory over Daemen 
  • Kinzer registered double-doubles in both matches, including pacing HFU with 14 kills and 14 digs in the opener, as she topped the Tigers with 25 digs on the day
  • Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) led all players with a season-best 17 kills on .406 hitting and five aces in the nightcap, as she led HFU with 29 kills on Friday 
  • Keira Rogan (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) (15 digs) and Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) (four blocks) posted match-highs in the win over Roberts Wesleyan
    • Kidd added 19 kills on .559 hitting on the day
