News and Notes

* Wassel entered today's invitational 19 kills shy of tying former standout Jennifer O'Connor's (2005-08) record of 1,398 kills.  After the five-set match versus Lake Erie, Wassel surpassed O'Connor after recording a game-high 23 kills; her first 20-plus kill performance of the season.  Wassel finished the night with 26 kills between the two matches and now has 1,405 career kills.

* Freshman Morgan Silks (Norristown, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll), fresh off her CACC Setter of the Week accolades, totaled 60 assists versus Lake Erie; one shy of the school record.  Silks is the second player in program history to reach 60 assists in a single match.  Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) (2010-13) hit 60-plus assists twice in her career, including the program record of 61 assists versus then Felician College in 2013.  Silks went on to add 33 assists versus IUP and is now averaging an even 11.0 assists per set this season.

* Senior Jaime Bonner (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) record a season-high 13 kills versus Lake Erie to go along with a .357 hitting percentage. Junior Jillian Boyle (North Andover, Mass./North Andover (Rivier College)) led the team with a season-high 26 digs in the same match.

* Against IUP, freshman Caitlin Griffin (St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) finished with a team-high and season-best 12 kills.  She also totaled 13 digs to set a season-high as well.
