How It Happened (vs. Franklin Pierce)

* Against Franklin Pierce the Tigers used a massive run in the first set to take control of the match.  Leading 6-5, Holy Family scored 13 of the next 14 points of the set to grab a commanding 19-6 lead.  The Tigers rallied off five straight points before the Ravens were credited a point on a Holy Family service error.  Holy Family then scored eight consecutive points that featured a pair of kills from both junior Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) and freshman Carly Covington (Delmar, Md./Delmar)

* The second set turned out to be more competitive but after breaking a 7-7 tie with four straight points the Tigers never relinquished the lead.  The Ravens rallied down the stretch to come within one point on two occasions at 23-22 and 24-23 but each time the Tigers responded with a point of their own, including the final kill by Wassel to clinch the set, 25-23.

* In the third and decisive set the Tigers once again used a big run to pull away from the Ravens.  With Franklin Pierce leading 4-2, Holy Family came through with a 6-0 run as the Tigers took advantage of three different errors by the Ravens.  The Tigers led the rest of the way although the Ravens did make things interesting towards the end.  Franklin Pierce cut the score to 21-19 before Holy Family scored the final four points.

How It Happened (vs. Adelphi)

* Adelphi controlled all three sets on its way to a 3-0 shutout of the Tigers later in the evening.  The Panthers took advantage of the Tigers' 30 attack errors for the match and low hitting percentage.  Whereas, the Panthers made only 10 errors and finished the match with a .253-hitting percentage.

All-Time Series
Holy Family picked up its first-ever victory over Franklin Pierce in the fifth meeting all-time dating back to 2013.  The Tigers are now 1-4 in the series versus the Ravens.  Adelphi improved its winning streak over the Tigers to four matches and are now 4-0 against the Tigers.
