Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team picked up a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory over visiting Concordia College with a 3-0 decision on Saturday afternoon inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.

How It Happened
 
* Holy Family put the pressure on Concordia defensively as the Tigers forced the Clippers into 20 attack errors while recording only 19 kills in the match.  Meanwhile, Holy Family finished with 33 kills and a combined .293 attack percentage.
 
* The Tigers scored 16 points alone on service aces setting a season-high in that category.  The team fell one shy of the program record for most aces in a three-set match.   Senior Kacie Brien (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) led the way with a career-high six aces, while sophomore Gianna Pesognelli (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle) also set a career-best with four aces.
 
* The third set turned out to be the Tigers' best offensive performance of the match with 14 kills on a .481 attack percentage.  As a team the Tigers committed only one attack error in the set and finished with only eight errors.  Pesognelli recorded six of the team's 14 kills in the set, while junior Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) added five.

Holy Family: Wassel and Pesognelli combined for 22 kills in the match… Wassel finished with a match-high 11 to go along with nine digs, while Pesognelli totaled 10 kills, four aces and two solo blocks… Junior Jaime Bonner (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) finished with seven kills… Brien paced the offense with 29 assists to go along with her six service aces.
 
Concordia: Thalia Hoyos led the team with six kills and also totaled eight digs on defense… Jenny Martin recorded 16 assists and six digs, while Celine Arada led the team with 11 digs.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 11th meeting all-time between Holy Family and Concordia dating back to the 2004 season. The Tigers are now 9-2 versus the Clippers and have won nine straight matches in the series.
 
Next Up
