Conroy Selected to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University senior Jill Conroy (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Ford) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Jan. 2 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Conroy averaged 17 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game in a pair of non-conference match ups versus Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) last week. At Merrimack College (L, 45-37) on New Year's Eve, Conroy totaled 12 points while dishing out five assists and recording a season-high four steals on defense.

She highlighted the week with a 22-point performance on New Year's Day at nationally ranked No. 11 Bentley University (L, 103-66). Conroy shot 9-of-12 from the field and scored 18 of her team-high 22 points (7-9 FG) in the second half. She also totaled five assists and two steals versus the Falcons.

In 11 games played this season, Conroy is averaging a team-best 15.4 points per game, which is sixth best amongst the conference leaders. She also leads the CACC in three-point percentage (50.9) and is fifth in assists (52).

Holy Family (3-10, 2-3 CACC) resumes conference play tonight as the Tigers host Nyack College in a cross-division match up. Game time is set for 6 p.m. inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.
