Wassel Listed on CACC Weekly Honor Roll

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University sophomore Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was among those listed on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 5 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Holy Family opened its season at the Crimson Hawk Invitational hosted by Indiana University (Pa.) this past weekend where Wassel averaged 5.46 kills and 4.08 digs per set. The Tigers went 1-3 in the two-day tournament to start their season.

Wassel totaled double-digit kills in each match, including a 19-kill performance in the team's victory over Alderson-Broaddus (W, 3-0). She also recorded nine digs and two service aces in the win. Wassel also produced on the defensive side with a 24-dig performance to cap the tournament in the team's setback to IUP (L, 3-1). In addition, she totaled 14 kills and another pair of service aces versus the Crimson Hawks.

For the tournament, Wassel totaled 57 kills, 53 digs, six service aces and 12 total blocks.

Holy Family returns to action tonight as the Tigers travel to face Kutztown University in a non-conference contest. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
