Nelson Named CACC Rookie of the Week

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University freshman runner Tarin Nelson (North Haledon, N.J./Passaic County Technical Institute ) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. In addition, junior Taurai Augustin (Castries, Saint Lucia/St. Mary's College Secondary School (Union County College)) was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.

At the 16^th Annual Wilmington University Invitational, Nelson and Augustin helped lead the Tigers to a third place team finish after both finishing in the top-10.

Augustin led the team with a seventh place showing as he completed the 8k-course in a time of 30:20.77. Nelson, who was competing in his first collegiate race, followed close behind as he finished 10^th overall with a time of 30:37.36.

Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 10 as the Tigers compete in the Philadelphia Metro Classic at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
