Walker Selected to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University junior Taylor Walker (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 25 as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Holy Family went 2-0-0 this past week with victories at Queens College (W, 1-0) and versus Post University (W, 4-0) to improve to 4-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play.

Walker, who is playing soccer for the first time collegiately, made her first appearance in net for the Tigers at Queens. She ended up making three saves as Holy Family's defense held the Knights to 15 shots for the game. As a result, Walker picked up her first collegiate victory and shutout.

The week of 'firsts' continued for Walker as she returned to her midfield position on Saturday. She went on to score her first collegiate goal in the team's 4-0 victory versus Post. In the 47^th minute, Walker took a header shot off a corner kick attempt from freshman Casey Rodgers (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and found the back of the net for the score.

Holy Family (4-3-1, 3-0-1) recently dropped a non-conference contest at Kutztown University, 4-1, on Monday and return to action this Wednesday at Wilmington University. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
