Rock Named CACC Player of the Week

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University sophomore Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her performance in the week ending Sept. 18 as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.

Holy Family (2-2-1, 2-0-1 CACC) went 1-1-0 this past week as Rock led the team in scoring with nine points off four goals and one assist. She tallied the team's lone goal in the 3-1 setback at Molloy College on Wednesday and then came through with a career performance against CACC opponent Dominican College on Saturday.

Rock recorded her first career hat trick with a three-goal performance versus the Chargers while assisting on another score to finish with a career-high seven points.

In her last three games, Rock has tallied five goals and one assist after being held scoreless the first two games of the season. She has already surpassed her goal and point totals from last year when she scored four goals and tallied 10 points.

Rock will look to continue her scoring streak later today as the Tigers travel to face Queens College in a non-conference contest. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
