Wassel Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll for Second Straight Week

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University sophomore Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was selected to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 11 as announced by the conference office earlier this week. It marks the second straight week that Wassel was named to the conference's Weekly Honor Roll.

Holy Family went 2-3 this past week as the Tigers traveled to face Kutztown University and then capped the week at the Wildcat Regional Invitational hosted by Wilmington University. In the 3-1 victory at Kutztown, Wassel tied her career-high with 25 kills while recording 22 digs on defense.

At the Wildcat Regional Invitational she averaged 3.81 kills and 3.5 digs per set to go along with five total blocks. She highlighted the tournament with a 16-kill performance in the win over Pace University. She also added 10 digs and two blocks versus the Setters.

For the week Wassel averaged 4.0 kills and 3.47 digs per set. Through nine matches this season she leads the team with 4.43 kills per set while averaging over four digs per set.

Holy Family is back in action on Friday, Sept. 16 as the Tigers host Goldey-Beacom College in the team's home opener and first CACC contest of the season. Match time is slated for 6 p.m. inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.
