Riley Selected to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University sophomore Candyce Riley (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Oct. 16 as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Riley helped lead the Tigers to a 2-1 week that featured back-to-back victories over Wilmington University (W, 3-0) and Dominican College (W, 3-1). The Tigers lone defeat occurred at Philadelphia University as the Rams came away with a 3-0 victory.

In three matches, Riley, who has been filling in as the team's primary setter this past week, totaled an impressive 113 assists to average 11.3 per set. She highlighted the week with 48 assists in the team's victory versus Dominican. She totaled 36 assists and nine digs at Wilmington and recorded 29 assists and 10 digs at Philadelphia.

In 21 matches this season, Riley has totaled a career-high 92 kills and 281 assists, while picking up 232 digs on defense. She also has 22 service aces.

Holy Family (10-11, 7-4 CACC) is back in action tonight as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in a key CACC South Division contest. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.
