James Named CACC Player of the Week

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University junior Jovan James (Elgin Town, Jamaica) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 16 as announced by the conference office on Monday. James shares this week's honor with Nyack College sophomore Finn Reese.

James led the Tigers in scoring this past week as he totaled seven points after recording three goals and one assist in a pair of victories. He was one of five players to score in the team's come-from-behind victory at Bloomsburg University. James scored the first of four goals in the second half that lifted the Tigers to the 5-3 victory and as a result snapped the team's 12-game winless streak.

James went on to highlight the week with a two-goal performance as the Tigers shutout Felician University on Saturday, 2-0. James tallied two late goals in the 83^rd and 88^th minutes.

In ten games this season, James leads the Tigers in scoring with five goals and one assist for 11 points.

Holy Family (3-9-3, 1-5-3 CACC) returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19 as the Tigers host Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
