Abramski and Smith Named to Capital One Academic All-District 1 Team

Holy Family University women's soccer senior Lisa Abramski (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) and junior Sienna Smith (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Regional) were named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District 1 first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members in the East Region. 
 
As a first team selection, both Abramski and Smith are eligible for consideration for the Capital One Academic All-America® team, which will be announced later in November. 
 
Abramski, a biology/medical technology major, boasts a 3.90 cumulative grade point average and is a two-time Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic team selection (2013 & 2014). She is earning Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career.
 
In 15 games played this season, including 12 starts Abramski has totaled four goals and one assist for nine points.  A 2013 All-CACC first team selection, Abramski has scored 15 goals while dishing out nine assists for 39 total points in 67 career games. 
 
Smith is also earning Academic All-District honors for the first time and is a biology major and sports a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average.  She earned CACC All-Academic honors for the first time in 2014 and was named the 2013 CACC Rookie of the Year. 
 
In eight games played this season, including seven starts, Smith has a goals against average of 1.69 to go along with 40 saves in 585 minutes in net.  She also has a save percentage of .784 with a 4-2-0 record.  In addition, Smith has recorded three shutouts to increase her career total to 14, which is tied for third most in program history.
 
In 39 career games, Smith owns a 1.34 goals against average to go along with 196 saves and a .797 save percentage.  She holds a record of 21-11-4 in net for the Tigers.
 
Holy Family (11-5-1, 9-2-1 CACC) has clinched a spot in next week's CACC Tournament for the 17th straight year since joining the conference in 1999.  The Tigers will host a quarterfinal game on Tuesday, Nov. 3.  Game time and opponent is still to be determined.
