Victoria Named to All-CACC First Team

Philadelphia, Pa. - Holy Family University women's tennis senior Juliana Victoria (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa Nuevo Mundo) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis All-Conference first team as voted by the conference's head coaches.  The conference office announced this year's award winners at the annual Awards Banquet held at Chestnut Hill College Friday evening.

In addition, freshman Alina Nersesyan (Yaroslavi, Russia/) was named All-CACC Honorable Mention.

Victoria is earning All-CACC first team honors for the fourth straight season as she continues to add to an already impressive career as the Tigers' top-flight player.  Victoria is currently 9-4 overall at first singles and finished conference play with a 6-1 mark.  She currently sits fifth all-time in program history with 39 career singles victories.

In doubles play, Victoria teamed with Nersesyan at first doubles as the duo are currently 9-5 overall and wrapped up conference play with a 5-3 record.  Victoria recently surpassed former Holy Family standout Liana Lui for the most career doubles victories with 54.  Lui compiled 52 wins from 2006-2010.

In her first year of collegiate competition, Nersesyan compiled a 9-5 overall record at number two singles for the Tigers this fall.  She concluded conference play with a 5-3 record.  She is currently 7-3 in her previous ten matches.

Fourth-seeded Holy Family (9-5, 5-3 CACC) will take on top-seeded Concordia College in the CACC semifinals tomorrow at Chestnut Hill.  The Tigers and Clippers begin their match at 10 a.m. with the winner advancing to Sunday's championship final.  The other semifinal match will feature No. 2 Goldey-Beacom College and No. 3 Chestnut Hill at 1 p.m.
